I told you yesterday that I've been nesting, but last week, my nesting was interrupted by spring cleaning...which I guess my biological clock could have just been giving me a huge dose of both at the same time. At any rate, another big item on my to-do list before baby #3 is born was to repaint this little dresser I'd had with baby #1...It's been sitting in the garage, an awesome red color with white knobs. Not a huge project, but time consuming with sanding down the original 8 layers of red (red always needs multiple coats), repainting, sanding again to antique, staining, top coating and then re-drilling holes to fit the new handles...and then redrilling holes again because I messed up a drawer or two (oh my gosh!) This became the project from you know where.
Whilst battling the week long "simple project" Pink Eye came to our house, which was causing me to constantly clean and disinfect any handle switch or knob that may have been touched.
So, while I hope this dresser dies, my house has been seriously disinfected for a week or so, and I've come to have an unconditional love with some of my cleaning products. So, I'm wondering....
what are your 'can't live without' cleaners??
(I really do want to know, new cleaners makes me WANT to clean!)
ps...happy leap year!

Dresser looks great. I've just done one up for my little man on the way too.
ReplyDeleteI was just hopping online to search for used dressers on craigslist and saw your post. LOVE what you did what the dresser - such a beautiful bold color.
ReplyDeleteBaby #2 is coming for me June 2012 so I'm also in nesting mode!
Thanks for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteI love the wet wipes. I'll never clean a toliet any other way again!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this dresser and your yellow chair! I have a chair just like that, that I've been wanting to paint, but I've never really painted anything and feel intimidated, lol. I can't live without Zout which is more of a stain remover for clothes! its awesome :)
