So every time I have worn a fun necklace in any of my photos,
I have borrowed it from Autie.
My necklace collection has been woefully small. Teeny Tiny.
So...
I decided last week that it is time. I bought a JCrew Bubble Necklace knock-off off Ebay, bought another cute one on Etsy from this shop, and decided to make a couple! Crazy, because I had NO IDEA what I was doing.
I went to Joann and Michaels (did not want to go to bead shops with both kids...)
and bought some supplies.
Here is the stuff I bought:
With Autie's help (She is so good at stuff like this!) I put together two necklaces. And I love them!
They definitely aren't perfect and there probably was a better way to do things but
it was a fun change of pace and I will totally wear them!

Good on you!
ReplyDeleteIt's the nicest feeling being able to say you made what you're wearing when someone compliments you on it.
(PS. I wish we had Michael's & John's in NZ too)
Loving reading through all your posts.

I love both of these - great, gorgeous, bright colors and so much visual interest with the beads and chain links mixed together! I'm feeling very inspired to make some of my own! : )

These are awesome! I love that you mixed together different chain sizes and such fun beads. I'm always checking out the clearance jewelry at stores where I shop to see if I can take it apart to make a different necklace that is more me. Pinning this for future inspiration!
